Dear Mr. Ambassador:

My wife and I should like to give a dinner in honor of Admiral and Mrs. Uriu when they are in Washington. Will you kindly express to them this wish and after consulting the convenience of Baroness Takahira and yourself will you please let us know whether there is an evening free after June third, and if so, which evening would best fall in with your plans?

Please present my compliments to the Baroness Takahira and believe me, my dear Mr. Ambassador,

Very sincerely yours,
